Next Generation Family Services is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides equitable access to lactation resources and support to empower and educate families in the Greater Lansing area as well as prenatal breastfeeding and safe sleep classes and free car seat checks!

No referral needed to book your lactation appointment today with our IBCLC, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant! We offer appointments in-clinic, virtually and in-home visits.

We are excited to assist you with all your lactation needs and concerns.

At your lactation appointment we will:

  • review your history and listen to your story
  • watch how you feed your baby and/or use a breast pump
  • perform a weighted feed
  • complete breast/chest assessment, infant assessment, latch and position techniques
  • address any concerns, challenges or questions you may have
  • create a custom feeding, care and follow up plan
  • connect you with community resources
  • offer referrals and support
  • give you email access to your IBCLC for follow up

Please try to bring your baby slightly hungry to your appointment if possible. Bring your pump and/or bottles if necessary, as well as all of your questions and concerns. Support people and other children are also welcome to join at your appointment.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

Free or reduced appointment costs may be available for clients who are eligible for Medicaid, WIC, EBT services, identify as a person of color, or have financial need.

-In Clinic Appointment: $100

-Virtual Appointment: $100

-Home Visit: $175*

*travel fees for over 20 miles may apply, even if your visit is covered by insurance

    Natosha has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Science from MSU. Go Green! She is currently an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a Child Passenger Safety Technician and is CPR certified. Previously, she co-owned Next Generation Lactation Services prior to transitioning the business to form the non-profit, Next Generation Family Services. She also worked as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for the Ingham County WIC Program for almost 5 years. Currently, she also works with Expectant Parents Organization as an instructor teaching breastfeeding.

    Community Involvement

    Natosha is an active member in the community and serves on various committees. She is the IBCLC facilitator for Capital Area Baby Cafe, sits on the Capital Area Perinatal Wellness Coalition and was previously the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Michigan Breastfeeding Network. Natosha is committed to reducing the racial disparities within lactation as well as serving and supporting families throughout Michigan.

    Outside of all her community work Natosha is also a wife and mom. She married her husband in 2021 and they live in Lake Odessa, Michigan. She has three sons; Hugh (9), Cullen (8) and Knox (baby). She breastfed her oldest two sons for over 4 years and currently is breastfeeding baby Knox.
